A hike in the region Midi-Pyrénées
You will go on Santiago de Compostela's way, walking on steep paths, through forests of downy oaks, with, as a reward, the discovery of the chapel of Saint-Sernin du Bosc in the magnificent site of "Combe du miel", and the beautiful dovecote in Chartron.
1- From the road over Carmes' church, turn first to the left, and 50 m farther to the right, on a dirt track which goes down to the valley. 2- Cross the road D953 to go on the road opposite, towards Cazes Mondenard. 850 m farther, turn to the right towards the locality of Germa. 3- Continue on the dirt track which skirts the houses of Germa to the left and goes up on a plateau. From there, you overlook the valley of Barguelonne. 4- Continue straight ahead. Cross the road. The track runs along former quarries and goes down. 5- Continue on the road on a distance of about 500 m. Before a recent farm, turn to the right in a straight track. Continue on a tarred section about 50 m long. 6- For about 500 m, turn to the right on each intersection. You will reach the track GR-65 before the farm of Parry. 7- Take the track on the right, and go to a road (the direction is the opposite of the Red and White marks). 8- Take the track which is at right angle on your right. The track rises up to a green valley called the "Honey Coomb" (Combe du miel). In this nice place, you will find the chapel of Saint-Sernin du Bosc and its cemetery. 9- After the chapel, the track rises steeply up to the plateau. 10- Once on the road, turn to the left. Less than 100 m farther, you will find a beautiful dovecote on pillars, in front of a quite so beautiful old house: Le Chartron. Continue on 500 m up to the crossing with a footpath on your right-hand side. 11- Take the footpath and go down towards Lauzerte through a forest. Continue up to the reservoir. 12- Take the narrow road towards Lauzerte. Before arriving on the road D958, you will see an old watermill behind the bridge over Lendou. Take the road D958 on the left. 50 m farther, go on the rising narrow road on your right. 13- Turn to the right at the first crossing. Walk on a distance of about 400 m on a track which joins a road close to a cemetery. 14- Turn to the right. The road will lead you back to the centre of the village.

Jardin du pèlerin. At the bottom of the former ramparts, the Garden of Pilgrims evokes the pilgrimage of Santiago de Compostela and the life of pilgrims on the way: departure, hospitality, fate, hapiness and distress, bridge crossing, bad meetings, board and lodging, miracles... Poetry, pictures, and songs merge together with the landscape of this garden, constituting a giant snakes and ladders game (dices and direction for use are available in the Tourist Office).
