A hike in the region Midi-Pyrénées

A hike in the country of Quercy, presenting the treasures of the local patrimony. You will discover with delight the very beautiful mill of Seynergues and panoramas of the surroundings.


1- In front of the church of Lunan, take the road on your left.
2- At the end of the first bend, take the footpath on your left.
3- Take the road opposite, then turn to the left. Take the road D2 in the direction of Panacard and and walk pass the GR65 that goes on your right-hand side. In the bend, continue on D2 and turn to the left (panel Moulin de Seyrignac).
4- Take the track on your left which runs along the narrow road.
5- Take the road on your left, walk past the mill and continue by passing beside the chapel and the castle of Seyrignac. Then take the road on your right.
6- Continue on the track up to you arrive on D2.
7- Take the road D2 on your left, cross the GR path and go on the road in front of you. At the crossing, turn to right.
8-9- Get back on the same way as sections 1 and 2, but in opposite direction, that will lead you to the starting point.

Noteworthy places

Le Moulin de Seyrignac. Windmill built in the XVth century, it was acquired by M.Chambon in 1982. It was restored and it works again since 1989: this is the only mill which can grind in the country of Haut Quercy. In 1992, M.Chambon won the 1st Price René Fontaine, awarded by Caisse Nationale des Monuments Historiques. You can visit it by phoning 05-65-34-48-32.
Le Château de Seyrignac. Private property. No visit.
L'église de Lunan. The romanesque church of Lunan, modified in the XVth century, fits with a part of a former convent. It is classified Historic Monument.
